Dr. Wilks is from the Cayman Islands. She has a doctorate in Strategic Leadership with an emphasis in Global Consulting. She is a Maxwell Leadership speaker, trainer and coach, author, accredited mediator, child abuse prevention facilitator and mental health first aid instructor. With thirty-plus years of experience in youth development work, Dr. Wilks has worked in Christian education, residential care, and programs with at-risk youth.
As Cayman's first Youth Asset Advocate, she is the founder of Cayman Islands Youth Development Consortium, a non-profit youth development organization that implement asset-building (strength-based) programs for the youth of the Cayman Islands.
She recently worked on an analytical overview of the national youth policies and asset building efforts of Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
